Proposals - Cassiobury Park Crossing

Existing Condition & Challenges

No formal pedestrian crossing exists across Rickmansworth Road to connect Cassiobury Park with the town centre. An informal crossing location is used regularly enough to create a gap in the grass. Cycling infrastructure exists along Rickmansworth Road but not across it.

Aspirations & Potential 

To create a direct connection between Cassiobury Park and the town centre for pedestrians and also cyclists.

Precedents

Hoe Street, Walthamstow

• Gyratory replaced with simple junctions
• Fences removed
• New pedestrian and cycle crossing to link to public space
